About EBHS

Since its corporation in 2002, the East Baker Historical Society has provided a variety of services to the community of Baker County and surrounding areas.

It is a grassroots organization that is based at the former East Baker Elementary School in Newton, GA. It is governed by the board of directors, whose members pay annual dues to provide capital and support for its present and future programs.

In 2005, the building was granted to EBHS by the Baker County School Board. Since that time, the organization has received funding from the USDA Rural Development.
